Special Session In Conjunction with Second International Conference on Application of Digital Information and Web Technologies (ICADIWT 2009) Goal and Scope An effective wireless-sensor network requires the integration of two key components: low-cost, low-power, scalable hardware and manageable software. The research signs of satisfying the first need with more cost-effective microprocessors and chip sets that allow for lower power communications. However, this domain is yet to see software that addresses challenges in communication issues, message routing, node management, and application development. The goal of this special session is to bring out the issues and approaches in software / software engineering in the context of WSNs. Therefore the researchers and practitioners are invited to share the experiences and research results (work in progress, practical experience) on any topic related to Software Engineering Approaches for Wireless Sensor Networks.
