Call For Papers
Special Session on “Distributed Information and Applied Collaborative Technologies”
in conjunction with:
The Third International Conference on the Applications of Digital Information and Web Technologies (ICADIWT 2010)
July 12-14, 2010
http://www.dirf.org/diwt2010/
Goal and Scope
The ICADIWT 2010 Special Session on “Distributed Information and Applied Collaborative Technologies” is dedicated to the timely publication of research works that are related to the theory and application of distributed information and collaborative technologies and their wider applications in the information web society. The conference pays particular attention to the ‘wider’ dimension as a means to diversify it and broaden the applicability and scope of the current body of knowledge in the area of applied collaborative and distributed technologies.
Web technologies as an enabling tool for the utilization of distributed information have challenged and revolutionized the application of past collaborative theories and practices. In particular, there has been a major shift from single-oriented standalone applications to service-oriented and flexible multi-purpose tools for supporting collaboration in various organizational settings. These include but not limited to developments related to grid and cloud computing, next generation technologies and Web 2.0, data centres and data mashups.
Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
Enabling Distributed Technologies
Internet and Web technologies
Web Services and multi-agents
Concurrency and synchronization
